Vacation-Cartagena

We took a bus from Santa Marta to Cartagena. The children will remember this as the "freezing bus." I have said before that Colombia is a land of contradictions, and I think there was likely a 45 degree difference between the outside temperature and the inside of this bus.

We only had a short time in Cartagena, but we stayed in a lovely, 400 year old hotel in the old part of the city. We enjoyed looking at the historic walled part of the city, several beautiful monuments and sculptures, and the pirate fishing boats. Aaron and I could not believe how much that city reminded us of New Orleans.
